About the Meadow

Our Story

The Soul Meadow was born in 2022 during a deeply formative period of personal healing and academic exploration. While undertaking doctoral research into spiritual striving and working alongside women as a mentor, teacher, and coach, a common need became increasingly clear: many women were seeking a space where faith and mental wellbeing could be explored together rather than as separate paths.

What began as a small, intentional offering has grown into a nurturing space where Muslim women can find support, reflection, and growth at a pace that honours their individual journeys.

Guided by this calling, formal training in counselling was pursued to serve this work with greater depth, integrity, and care. Since then, Soul Meadow has supported women from diverse backgrounds through hundreds of sessions, helping them navigate life’s challenges while remaining connected to faith, purpose, and self-understanding.

Today, Soul Meadow continues to provide a space rooted in compassion, presence, and the belief that healing and growth are lifelong companions on the journey back to God and to oneself.

Healing and growth are lifelong companions on the journey back to God and to oneself.

What is Spiritual Counselling?

Spiritual Counselling is a faith-centred approach to healing that brings together self-awareness, spiritual growth, and psychological wellbeing. It is an invitation to reconnect with your God-given worth and to understand yourself through the lens of the soul rather than external expectations or perceptions.

At its heart, spiritual counselling is about returning to who you were created to be. It encourages reflection, self-compassion, and a deeper awareness of the beliefs, experiences, and patterns that may be limiting growth. Through this process, greater clarity, resilience, purpose, and trust in Allah can begin to emerge.

Healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about uncovering what has been buried, strengthening what already exists, and learning to move through life with greater intention and God-consciousness.

While therapeutic tools and evidence-based approaches can support the healing process, true healing ultimately comes from Allah, Ash-Shāfī, The Healer. Spiritual Counselling seeks to honour both the means He has provided and the spiritual journey that accompanies them.

Healing is not about becoming someone new; it is about returning to who you were created to be.

Our Approach

Our approach is rooted in the understanding that healing is an all-encompassing, holistic journey. We combine evidence-based therapeutic principles with faith-centred reflection, creating a space that honours the soul, the mind, and the realities of everyday life.

Every individual is approached with compassion, dignity, and respect. Sessions are guided by your needs, readiness, and goals, with a focus on helping you develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and alignment with your values and faith.

This is not a journey of fixing what is broken, but of uncovering what has been buried.

Our work is:

  • Compassion-led — creating a safe and non-judgemental space for honest reflection
  • Strength-based — building on your existing capacities and potential
  • Spiritually grounded — anchoring healing in faith, meaning, and remembrance of God
  • Holistic — supporting the emotional, psychological, spiritual, and relational dimensions of life

This is not a journey of fixing what is broken. It is a journey of growth, understanding, and return—learning to navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, purpose, and trust in Allah.
